Our Aims and Objectives
We aim for all our residents to live in a clean, bright, and well-maintained home free of odours and mess, where their safety is always maintained. We have created an environment which we aim to maintain that is inviting and homely whilst enabling effective residential care to be provided that is person centred, efficient and holistic in nature.
We have a dedicated team of staff who receive ongoing training, appropriate to their roles and the resident’s needs; to ensure that our staff remain competent to undertake their roles. Staff treat all residents with care, dignity, respect, and sensitivity. The care is delivered in a flexible noninstitutionalised manner with respect for independence, privacy, and the right to make informed choices and to take appropriate risks. Each residents’ needs, and values are respected in all matters of religion, culture, race, ethnic origin, or sexual orientation. We have developed an ethos of: “Treat others as if they are your own family” and we aim to continue promoting this ethos and way of working so Granville Court can be a home-from-home for our residents and their visitors. We continuously aim to provide a home that promotes dignity in both, life and in death.
We provide a forward-thinking environment which is dynamic and proactive and is bespoke in all care provision through the day and through the night. We ensure all care planning is carried out in full liaison with residents, their family members, and other relevant professionals to create the most person-centred and effective plans of care possible. We also aim to continue our effective levels of communication between ourselves and family members through as required phone calls, one-to-one discussions, and relative meetings.
We encourage all residents to maintain wherever possible their social and cultural links with the community and to participate in the homes’ activity programme.
We offer a varied and nutritious diet sourcing all our fresh meat, fish, fruit, and vegetables from a reliable, local source. Menus are planned on 4 weekly rotation and a daily menu is provided to the residents with a choice of dishes and a commitment to meeting residents dietary needs and preferences.
We recognise we will never reach our destination. Our goal is simply to constantly strive to improve, recognising that new technologies, studies, industry changes and national standards are dynamic and require us to review our practices constantly to remain compliant.
Family and friends of residents will always be welcomed warmly into the home to spend quality time with their loved one.
